A children's book series for the little ones learning who they are. Written for big feelings, beautiful crowns, and the quiet magic of growing up.
The Adventures of Bailee Grey is a growing series following one bright, beautiful girl as she learns to love who she is, from the crown on her head to the storms that pass through her heart. The first two books are out now, with more on the way. Written for ages 3–7 and made to be read aloud, returned to, and remembered.
Her hair isn't just hair. It's her crown.
Bailee discovers that her natural hair is more than something she wears. It's her magic crown, full of power, beauty, and history. A timeless story of self-love, cultural pride, and the kind of confidence that takes root young.
Some feelings come like weather. They pass like weather, too.
Bailee feels big things. The kind of feelings that rumble like thunder and flash like lightning. In this gentle, powerful story, she learns to name her storm, hold it safely, and find her way back to calm. A book for the little ones learning that all feelings are welcome.
Bailee's story is still unfolding. Be the first to know when Book Three lands. Plus get sneak peeks along the way.

My daughter asked for this every single night for two weeks. She'd touch her hair and whisper "magic crown." That's the kind of story we needed.
A beautifully written and necessary book. I've added it to my classroom library and it's already in heavy rotation.
"The Storm Inside" gave us language for big feelings I didn't know how to explain to my four-year-old. Now we name the storm together.
I wrote these books for my daughter. And then I wrote them for the little girl I used to be.
I'm a mom, a writer, and the author of The Adventures of Bailee Grey. I live and write in Brooklyn, New York, where most of my best ideas happen between snack time and bedtime.
The Adventures of Bailee Grey was inspired by my daughter and what motherhood has taught me along the way. The questions she asks, the way she sees the world, and the kinds of stories I never had as a little girl. So I wrote them. For her, and for me.
